What does it take to be a life coach?  Well, a natural talent for interpersonal relationships to start with, plus a lot of work on your own personal development.  There is no recognised, statutary or professionally regulated body either in this country or world-wide and nor is there likely to be one in the foreseeable future. Any search of the web will bring up scores of commercial organisations who will award their own diploma or certificate to anyone who pays the course fee, regardless of background or natural aptitude.  It's up to you to check out what's on offer and to choose the course you intuitively feel will be best for you.

All Life Coach UK Associates are individual members of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and abide by their demanding code of ethics and standards, including ongoing supervision. The Unitive™ Life Coach accreditation programme consists of

• Twelve one-and-a-half hour personal development and advanced life coaching tutorials with our principal Charles Bentley PhD (fee per session £150)
• Six one-hour mentoring/support sessions with the Unitive™ professional associate of your choice via Skype or telephone (fee per session £75)
• A two-day experiential seminar of not more than fifteen participants (seminar fee £295)

The individual tutorials are usually arranged weekly or fortnightly, or at other intervals by mutual agreement. Each two-day seminar is held at a four-star hotel conference centre in central London.

All fees are on a pay-as-you-go basis - you don't have to tie up hard-earned capital! What's more, you can choose to take the entire course from a period of three months up to one year, whichever fits in best with your individual circumstances.

On successful completion of the programme you may then use the registered title Accredited Unitive™ Life Coach in all your publicity, contacts and literature to describe your status as an advanced practitioner in personal and business coaching. Entry to this programme is by mutual agreement subsequent to the first session. The number of entrants is necessarily limited by the tutorial team's current availability and work commitments.

For those based outside the Greater London commuter area, and for international clients, we offer individually arranged alternative web-based session facilities by 'phone or computer-based Skype audio/visual links.
