Thinking

What most cognitive and behavioural approaches have in common is the assumption that intellect is superior to, and therefore capable of mastering, the feeling function. Most practitioners in the field of personal and professional coaching work by applying more or less simplistic versions of this dogmatic theory - in the belief that positive thinking will always ensure positive results in the real world. In other words, that mind is superior to matter. It’s a great fantasy, but unfortunately it just ain't true.  Mind is certainly the driver of our human machinery, but once it's disconnected from the powerful engine of our feelings it can't go anywhere.

It's becoming increasingly apparent to many people that predominantly mind-based approaches to life coaching are by their very nature short-term. Because they don't have an extended shelf life, they need constant external reaffirmation - the term 'brain-washing' comes to mind - in order to sell their concepts of materialistic "success". By encouraging individuals to build a fantasised mountain for the ego to climb, they ignore the inescapable fact that by so doing they are helping them to dig an equally deep hole into which, sooner or later, they are bound to fall.

In direct contrast, the Unitive™ approach to life coaching provides you with the intellectual tools you will need to safely explore and to shed light on powerful but as yet untapped elements of your total being, so that you can live out your life on the level ground of a true and lasting personal integration.
